Hello and welcome to the California Monitors' Network website!

The weather is HOT!


No new updates!  CMN is on hiatus!


For the past three decades, national employment and training programs have channeled funds through states to local agencies to provide employment preparation and assistance.  In order to provide accountability for how these monies are spent, oversight in the form of monitoring has been an on-going responsibility.  In a real sense, monitors protect the interests of taxpayers to ensure that public funds are used efficiently and legally.

The California Monitors Network was formed to equip local monitoring staff to be more effective.  This website is designed to provide up-to-date information for the benefit of program practitioners.  We encourage you to utilize the resources illustrated in these web pages.  In addition, as the term "network" implies, communication flows in two directions.  We look forward to receiving feedback from you readers on how we can improve the services provided here or by our Network as a whole.

HISTORY

"The California Monitors Network was originally formed for the purpose of providing training to staff employed by Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Service Delivery Areas (SDA's).
